About
My name is Alexa Young
My journey into wellness began with a fascination for how our body heals — through movement, nutrition, breath, and therapeutic touch. That curiosity has shaped over a decade of study and practice across multiple healing traditions.
I dedicated several years to formal training at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine and Sutherland-Chan School of Massage, developing a strong foundation in clinical practice. However, it was my yoga practice and travels abroad that taught me that healing isn’t just clinical—it’s a holistic, whole-being experience.
As my love of yoga evolved, it became less about outer movement and more about a quiet, inner transformation. I pursued Yoga Teacher Training and later expanded my studies into Ayurveda, deepening my understanding of TCM and the energetics of mind–body balance.
I went on to study sound medicine, esoteric acupuncture, and holotropic breath work, which enhanced my acupuncture practice and expanded my ability to address the nervous system and emotional body through more integrative, somatic-based care.
